Solja Finds a Home!

If you have been following our latest campaign to help find Solja a new home, you will be pleased to know that we just received word from Solja’s owner that she has just found the perfect couple to adopt Solja.

Yay! I found a new home! But I will miss my mum...

There was such a great staggering response from the Cat Diaries community – we could not have hoped for a better result. Solja’s owner, Libi, has been in touch with us and wanted to say that she could not have found such a brilliant home for Solja (she told us she has been speaking to Solja regularly via Skype! ).

She also stressed that she wanted to thank you all for your support, and what better way than in her own words:

“Just thought I would let you know that a lovely retired couple came to meet Solja today, and they fell in love with him (everyone does! lol). Solja has gone home with them, and I know he will be loved by them as much as I love him. Sorry, am crying as I am writing this, probably more for my own loss, it is terribly heartbreaking having to do what I have.

Solja will be able to enjoy their constant company and new friends (they have another cat as well), and I want to thank you very much for your help. The responses from everyone was just fantastic, it is nice to see so many people wanting to adopt my baby. So for everyone who responded, thank you very much. The people who read Cat Diaries are obviously huge cat lovers, I could not have asked for a better quality of potential ‘parents’ (or should I say people who want to be owned by a cat … lol).

They have promised me they will keep in touch and let me know how he is settling in, so it is comforting to know that I am still with him in that way.
