Cat Birthday Parties
When planning a birthday party for your pet, there are so many options. If your cat is like we expect, it is a member of the family and shares a special day just like the rest of the kids. Why not plan something fun for your cat’s big day and really show them how much you care.
You must start out the day by treating your cat to his/her favourite treat. Nothing puts them in a better mood than tuna treats and it will let them know the day is going to be a good one.
Next, invite the cat guests. This is not only a happy day for the birthday kitty, but also for the cat lady down the street. Send her, and your other cat-owner friends, invites to your place for a cat-themed party.
If your cat is the calm type and wouldn’t fuss, make sure to order her a casual birthday tee for the occasion or perhaps a new birthday collar or crown.
Serve your guests a cat themed dinner and the birthday girl her very own homemade dinner treat. If you are artistically inclined make a cake in the shape of your kitty and let your human guests enjoy while all the cat friends play together and eat their treats.
What is a party without presents? This will be the best part, so choose your toys wisely. Cats love all new toys and there are 1000s to choose from so I recommend buying a basket so there are plenty to go around. Also, don’t let your guests feel left out! Pass out the stuffed kittens for the kids, too!
I probably don’t need to remind you to take photos during the party, but just in case—take heaps! They are easy to throw in a scrapbook or album and also make for perfect thank you cards or invites for next year.
Lastly, if you really want to commemorate the day you adopted your kitty or her birth, donate to the local cat shelter or charity you got her from. There are tons to choose from, so see what best suits you and help to get more cats in healthy homes and having their own birthday parties, too!
