Salem has black short hair, with auburn highlights in the sun. He is an 8-year-old male, with large golden eyes, a tattoo on his ear and a small nick on the side of the right one. Also, he is diabetic and needs insulin twice daily and special food.

He went missing from Ryton Street, Kings Meadows, Tasmania, on Monday, 4 May 2009.

There is a large reward. Phone 03 63444484 or 0409577283, or email louise-anne@bigpond.com.

Hi Louise-Anne,

That's terrible that you lost your cat. Has Salem come home yet or do you have any idea where he could have gone?

Salem appeared today, nearly five weeks since he went missing. SmileSmile We are so excited and can not believe it. However, he was too scared to come to me. I am hoping he will return again. At least we know he is alive and OK.

Louise-Ann,

Has Salem moved back into your house now? And how are you managing his diabetes?

My post was premature. Sadly it was not Salem who had returned, but another black cat who is nearly identical to Salem. We adopted him and he is named Xavier. He has been living with us for nearly a year. Salem's anniversary of when he went missing is in two days time. We miss him so much.
