I have 2 cast one of them who loves getting attention and the other not so much. I am 40 weeks pregnant and xpecting our first child any moment. I am concerned about intergrating my new  born with the cats. Especially as I have heard that cats don't really ike babies and often have been known to try and sleep with baby sometimes resulting in suffocation.


Can anybody give me any tips/advise on how to intergrate the 2.

Maybe you should try keeping your cats away from the baby for the first few weeks – but still involve them in things, and give them as much attention as you can spare (you're probably going to be very busy!!!).

Congratulations on the pregnancy too – little boy or girl, do you know?

My cousin had a baby late last year (can't believe it was that long ago) and they've got a sheep dog called Molly – she's amazing with the baby! He's walking around now, and she's always there to pick him up, make sure he's not hurt. If she thinks he's in distress, she starts barking for someone to come.

I would just make sure that when the cats are around your baby you are supervising them. I know that cats love warmth and may curl up to close to the baby. Just be careful

Screen door on bubs door if possible.  This way u can keep the cats out and still hear bubs when crying.  Let the cats get to know bubs on there own time without chasing them away always supervise if bubs is on the floor just in case if the cats turn nasty.  I dont believe that vats will but when they rnt sure of something god knows what they can do.
